Introducing the all new MV-1

Mobility Ventures is proud to introduce the 2014 MV-1. The MV-1 is the first mobility vehicle that was designed from the ground up for wheelchair accessibility and is proudly built in America. The MV-1 comes equipped with a deployable integrated ramp for quick and easy passenger access, and has a spacious interior that can accommodate up to six occupants, with the optional jumpseat.

The MV-1 is the only factory-built vehicle that meets or exceeds the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The extremely versatile MV-1 will be built at the high-quality assembly plant at AM General LLC in Mishawaka, Indiana. With production facilities that are among the most cutting-edge in the world, you can be assured the MV-1 is a world-class vehicle .

Easy access to an enjoyable ride.

With an extra-wide door, a ramp that conveniently deploys from inside the vehicle floor, and enough interior room for a wheelchair user to turn and face forward, the MV-1 delivers a comfortable ride for all.

Broaden your business horizons.

The MV-1 can handle a wide range of assignments. Its accessibility opens the door to any and all passengers. It’s built like a truck, yet it rides like a car. With the MV-1’s body-on-frame vehicle architecture and independent rear suspension, you’ll enjoy years of durability and comfort.

A powertrain that is empowering.

You need an engine that can get the job done, and the MV-1 has what it takes. Featuring a Ford 4.6L V8 engine with a Ford electronic 4-speed transmission, the MV-1 can handle whatever the road has in store.

Have the option to go green.

The MV-1 is the only vehicle in its class with an available Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engineered, assembled, and factory-installed Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel system option. Because it’s factory-installed, the MV-1 with the CNG option ensures the same durability, reliability, and quality that fl eets demand from gasoline-powered vehicles, while reducing operating expenses since CNG is signifi cantly less expensive than gasoline. Since natural gas is primarily a domestic fuel source, the 290-mile range CNG MV-1 is good for the environment and good for America. Now, everyone can breathe easier.

You can take comfort knowing the MV-1 was built like a truck: strong and dependable. From a reliable body-on-frame vehicle architecture to a smart suspension system, it is as durable as it is accessible. We designed the MV-1 with input from fleet owners and drivers, and then road tested it relentlessly in some of the most brutal conditions we could create. But we didn't simply focus on drivability. The deployable ramp, which allows you to enter and exit with ease, has been tested to the extreme through continuous deployment for months at a time. All of this testing ensures that it works every single time you need it.

 Durability Features:

  • A body-on-frame design: the MV-1's frame mounts to the body to create a rigid structure that supports the drivetrain.
  • Fully boxed and tubed supportive cross members to provide additional frame stiffness and durability.
  • Built like a truck, yet rides like a car.
  • Front Short Long Arm (SLA) suspension that provides a tight turning radius and a rack and pinion steering gear.
  • A de Dion rear suspension with steel leaf springs and air shocks to deliver an extremely comfortable ride for all passengers.
  • Ford 4.6L 2V EFI V8 Engine.
  • Ford Electronic 4-speed Automatic Transmission with Overdrive.
  • The frame is coated with a rust inhibitor to increase longevity of the vehicle.
